About The Foundation

The Wisdom Family Foundation strongly supports sustainable initiatives in the Greater Elgin community and believes the programs and organizations that support families and children are of the greatest importance. Established in 2007, the Foundation’s mission is to foster the positive growth and well-being of children and families through financial and charitable support. The Wisdom Family Foundation enables us to give back to the community and to serve as advocates for strong families and youth programs. Organizations, individuals and families applying for Wisdom Family Foundation grant money need to be sustainable in nature and must have a positive effect on their beneficiaries, the environment or a cause.

Some of our Foundation donations include:

  • gifting money to the U-46 Educational Foundation for the Project Access, a program working to ensure that underprivileged children have equal access to educational opportunities.
  • donating to the South Elgin High School Booster Foundation’s stadium fundraising campaign.
  • sponsoring the Boys and Girls Club of Elgin, as well as their annual Great Futures Gala Fundraisers.
  • contributing to Feeding Greater Elgin, one of the top ten largest food pantries associated with Northern Illinois Food Bank.

In addition to organizations, the Wisdom Family Foundation also provides funding for individuals and families in need.  A sampling of some of our donations to individuals and families include:
