Wisdom Family Foundation Visits Bolivia – July 2014

Wisdom Family Foundation Managing Director, Kristi Wisdom and McKenzie Wisdom spent time this summer working with impoverished children in Bolivia.  The trip, organized by Bright Hope (www.brighthope.org) took them to the city of El Alto, one of the most dangerous cities in South America, where they worked with children at Bethesda Church. Bethesda Church’s primary mission is to provide a safe and educational place for children while they are not in school.  In addition to spending quality time with the children, Kristi and McKenzie also participated in Bethesda’s self-supporting programs such as their internet café, bakery, and chocolate manufacturing.

“This trip provided us with a great opportunity to explore sustainable initiatives that other organizations have implemented for children and families”, enthuses Kristi Wisdom. “One of Wisdom Family Foundation’s long-term goals is to expand our reach and partner with other foundations throughout the world that are also focused on creating better lives and more opportunities for children and families”
