Foundation makes $1 million gift to Boys and Girls Club in Elgin
Wisdom Family Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin’s fundraising campaign to open the South Elgin Clubhouse with a 1-million-dollar lead gift that “has kick-started the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin’s plans to convert the former South Elgin public works building into a clubhouse for K-8 students.”
We believe that the impact of this project will ripple into the community and impact the lives of thousands of children and teenagers in the Elgin area. As Cathy Russell, Boys & Girls Club of Elgin’s President/CEO, said, “It’s extremely inspirational to see this happen. When you have an idea like this and start a project like this, you worry whether it can become a reality. While there is still pressure to raise all that money, it is encouraging to have this start.”
The WFF is proud to sponsor initiatives that empower families and children in creative opportunities for long-lasting impact. It is our hope that this donation will motivate others to support this local project and ultimately make a lasting impact on this community.
